Maintenance Worker (Handwerker PLT) – Join INEOS Styrolution in Cologne

Current Opportunity: Handwerker PLT (Maintenance Worker)
Location: Cologne, Germany
Job Type: Full-time, Regular
Your Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting, repair, and recurring inspections of process control technology (PLT) systems, including safety controls and process control systems.
- Support during startup and shutdown operations.
- Diagnose and resolve malfunctions in equipment and associated control technology.
- Calibrate and configure devices and systems.
- Repair and maintain large electrical appliances, motors, and portable electrical devices.
- Perform maintenance on communication, warning, and signaling systems.
- Conduct PLT installations and recurring inspections.
- Manage electrical shutdowns and reactivations.
- Conduct routine checks in electrical operating rooms.
Your Qualifications:
- Completed vocational training in electrical or automation technology (e.g., Electronics Technician for Automation Technology, Process Control Electronics Technician, or MSR Mechatronics Technician).
- Preferably, experience in maintenance within petrochemical facilities.
- Advanced qualifications as a Master Craftsman or Technician are advantageous.
- Willingness to learn, grow, and take on responsibilities.
- Knowledge of relevant norms and regulations (e.g., VDE, DGUV) and explosion protection standards.
- Familiarity with Simatic PCS-7 process control systems is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of chemistry.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Team-oriented with a self-reliant work ethic, strong problem-solving skills, and adaptability.
