Current Opportunity: Handwerker PLT (Maintenance Worker)

Location: Cologne, Germany
Job Type: Full-time, Regular

Your Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting, repair, and recurring inspections of process control technology (PLT) systems, including safety controls and process control systems.
• Support during startup and shutdown operations.
• Diagnose and resolve malfunctions in equipment and associated control technology.
• Calibrate and configure devices and systems.
• Repair and maintain large electrical appliances, motors, and portable electrical devices.
• Perform maintenance on communication, warning, and signaling systems.
• Conduct PLT installations and recurring inspections.
• Manage electrical shutdowns and reactivations.
• Conduct routine checks in electrical operating rooms.

Your Qualifications:

• Completed vocational training in electrical or automation technology (e.g., Electronics Technician for Automation Technology, Process Control Electronics Technician, or MSR Mechatronics Technician).
• Preferably, experience in maintenance within petrochemical facilities.
• Advanced qualifications as a Master Craftsman or Technician are advantageous.
• Willingness to learn, grow, and take on responsibilities.
• Knowledge of relevant norms and regulations (e.g., VDE, DGUV) and explosion protection standards.
• Familiarity with Simatic PCS-7 process control systems is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of chemistry.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Team-oriented with a self-reliant work ethic, strong problem-solving skills, and adaptability.
