This position involves working on a hog and pig farm, which includes:

• Exposure to dust and farm odours
• A noisy environment
• Physical activity and outdoor work in various weather conditions

🔧 Key Responsibilities

As a Livestock Labourer, your daily tasks will include:

• Sanitizing barns, pens, and housing areas for animals
• Handling livestock with care and precision
• Monitoring animal behavior and checking for signs of illness
• Feeding animals and ensuring proper hydration
• Performing piglet care, such as:

  • Needle teeth clipping
  • Docking tails
  • Administering iron injections and medications
  • Identifying and castrating piglets

• Updating animal health records and farm logs
• Following all farm safety and biosecurity standards
• Detecting and reporting disease or unusual livestock behavior
• General farm maintenance and upkeep
• Adjusting ventilation systems, water lines, and temperature settings in barns or coops
