Responsibilities and Duties

As a Kitchen Helper at Naijaspot Restaurant Inc., you will play an essential role in supporting kitchen operations. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Bringing clean dishes, utensils, and other items to serving areas and setting tables.
• Cleaning and sanitizing items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
• Clearing and cleaning tables, trays, and chairs after service.
• Washing and sanitizing dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment by hand.
• Scouring pots and pans to remove tough residues.
• Preparing and packaging take-out food orders.
• Portioning, wrapping, and storing foods properly.
• Preparing, heating, and finishing simple food items as instructed by kitchen staff.
• Taking customers’ orders when necessary.
• Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, and appliances.
• Handling and storing cleaning products safely.
• Receiving, unpacking, and organizing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas.
• Disposing of kitchen garbage and maintaining cleanliness in waste areas.
• Sharpening kitchen knives as needed.
• Sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing kitchen floors.
• Washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
• Assisting in the preparation and cooking of meals or specialty foods.
