Role Overview

As a Farmhand, your primary responsibility will be ensuring the welfare of our poultry. You’ll perform a variety of tasks that contribute to the smooth running of the farm and the health of the flock.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care for chickens, including feeding and ensuring they have access to clean water.
• Monitor flock health, identifying and reporting signs of illness or distress.
• Maintain cleanliness of coops and equipment to promote a hygienic environment.
• Assist in collecting, handling, and properly storing eggs (if applicable).
• Support processing tasks such as plucking, cleaning, and packaging poultry.
• Follow strict safety and biosecurity measures to protect the flock and maintain workplace safety.
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet production targets and maintain high-quality standards.

Daily Activities Include:

• Handling poultry and completing regular feed and shed inspections.
• Collecting eggs and maintaining records.
• Cleaning and preparing sheds for new arrivals.
• General farm maintenance duties.
