Position Overview

We are seeking reliable, hardworking Farmers to join commercial farming operations in Japan. This hands-on role covers the full crop lifecycle — from planting and cultivation through to harvesting and post-harvest care — alongside routine farm maintenance and general farm management tasks. Successful candidates will be physically fit, comfortable working outdoors, and able to follow direction while using initiative to keep farm operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out planting operations according to seasonal schedules and crop plans.
• Perform ongoing crop cultivation tasks such as weeding, watering, pest control and fertilisation.
• Carry out post-harvest duties including harvesting, sorting, packing and short-term storage preparation.
• Operate and maintain basic farm machinery and equipment (training provided where required).
• Conduct routine farm maintenance (fencing, irrigation checks, tool upkeep and general site tidiness).
• Support daily farm management activities, record keeping and reporting to supervisors.
• Work cooperatively with a multicultural team and follow workplace health & safety procedures.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of practical farming experience (commercial farm experience preferred).
• Ability to perform physical tasks reliably and safely for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of planting, harvesting and crop care practices.
• Comfortable multitasking and adapting to changing priorities on the farm.
• Willingness to learn and follow supervisor instructions, and to complete on-site training.
• No specific formal education required — practical experience and a strong work ethic are valued.

Qualifications & Compliance

• DMW / POEA Licence: POEA-039-LB-022719-R (recruitment accreditation).
• Candidates must meet Japan’s visa and work permit requirements — employer will provide guidance for overseas hires.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and any required background checks.
