Requirements

• Language: English
• Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or a non-university diploma/certificate program (1-2 years)
• Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

Work Setting

• Child Care Centre
• Hands-on role requiring work at the designated physical location

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor children’s growth and design personalized learning activities
• Provide care for infants and toddlers, including bathing, feeding, and diapering
• Create and implement educational programs that nurture physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development
• Maintain a clean and safe daycare environment
• Organize fun and interactive activities such as storytelling, singing, and local outings
• Encourage children to develop essential habits like proper hygiene, dressing, and eating
• Arrange furniture and spaces for meals, rest, and play
• Identify and report any learning or behavioral challenges to parents or supervisors
• Maintain detailed written records on children’s progress
• Collaborate with staff to discuss children’s development and challenges
• Participate in regular team meetings to enhance program quality
