About the Role

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for mechanical and industrial design? EM Dynamics Inc., a leading engineering firm in Scarborough, is currently seeking a Drafting Technologist to join our growing team. This role involves developing high-quality technical drawings, specifications, and documentation to bring engineering concepts to life.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Create and revise engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Prepare conceptual and detailed design sketches.
• Draft technical documentation and product specifications.
• Estimate material usage and project costs.
• Assemble complete design packages, including drawing sets and supporting files.
• Ensure all designs meet compliance standards and are free from errors.
• Work closely with clients, engineers, and production teams to meet project requirements.

Required Education & Experience

• Diploma or degree from a recognized College/CEGEP program.
• Minimum of 1 year and less than 2 years of relevant experience in the drafting or design field.

Technical Skills & Software Knowledge

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with mechanical and industrial design processes.

Other Requirements

• Must be bondable.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines with high attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in various physical positions (sitting, standing, walking).
• Effective in both verbal and written communication.
• A strong team player with organizational skills.
