Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and safety-conscious Machine (Passenger Loading Bridge – PLB) Operator to join airport ground operations in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe docking and undocking of Passenger Loading Bridges during aircraft arrivals and departures, ensuring smooth, efficient, and secure passenger boarding and disembarkation in accordance with aviation safety standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities

• Safely dock and undock Passenger Loading Bridges (PLB) during aircraft arrivals and departures
• Coordinate with immediate supervisors regarding gate assignments, flight details, and shift instructions
• Report to the assigned gate prior to Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) or Departure (ETD) as per SOP
• Ensure the PLB is in the correct parking position before aircraft arrival
• Conduct thorough checks for obstructions or hazards within the PLB maneuvering area
• Perform pre-operational testing and functional checks of the PLB before aircraft arrival
• Ensure PLB operations comply with airport regulations, safety protocols, and airline requirements
• Immediately report any technical issues, defects, or safety concerns to the supervisor
• Maintain clear communication with ramp agents, gate coordinators, and flight operations staff
• Follow all workplace health, safety, and security procedures at all times

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience as a PLB Operator or in airport ground handling operations (preferred)
• Familiarity with aviation safety procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Ability to accurately follow instructions and handle time-sensitive operations
• Strong awareness of safety, precision, and attention to detail
• Physically fit and able to work in a shift-based environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (basic operational communication required)
• Willingness to comply with airport security clearance and medical requirements
