Compensation:

• Hourly wage: $24.30 to $28.50 (Negotiable)
• Weekly hours: 30 to 40 hours

Job Requirements

Language Skills:

• English or French

Education:

• No formal education required (No degree, diploma, or certificate necessary)

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience

Job Environment & Work Setting

• Work performed at multiple locations
• Commercial and industrial roofing projects
• Exposure to heights, outdoor elements, and noisy surroundings

Key Responsibilities

• Install built-up roofing systems with materials like asphalt felts, hot asphalt, and gravel
• Replace or install asphalt shingles, wood shingles, shakes, and clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs
• Apply single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials such as elastomeric or modified plastics
• Conduct repairs or replacements for single-ply roofing systems
• Install and repair metal roofing using specialized tools
• Guide and mentor apprentices in the trade

Physical & Work Demands

• Fast-paced work environment
• Requires physical endurance – bending, kneeling, crouching
• Heavy lifting (up to 23 kg / 50 lbs)
• Large workload with potential overtime
• Must have strong hand-eye coordination and work well under pressure
