Mid North Farms Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced tractor operator to join our dynamic team. This role requires expertise in tractor operations, ground spreading, cultivation, and general farm maintenance. You will play a key role in ensuring farm activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and sustainably to support the long-term success of the business.


Key Responsibilities

As a Tractor Operator and Farm Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating tractors for various tasks such as ground spreading, cultivation, and muck spreading.
  • Performing general maintenance and repairs on machinery and farm equipment.
  • Safeguarding and maintaining shared tools and equipment to ensure they are in safe working order.
  • Assisting farm managers in clearing debris, waste materials, and outdated machinery, consolidating these items at a central location for recycling or disposal.
  • Maintaining the grounds of staff accommodations, including mowing, weed spraying, and general upkeep.
  • Supporting other farming activities as needed across our integrated farming business, which includes dairy platforms, a calf-rearing unit, dairy support units, and beef finishing operations.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Valid work authorization in New Zealand.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and police check.
  • A current New Zealand driver’s license.

Note: There is potential for this role to include staff accommodation if needed.
